Rathaus Steyr, Protected heritage town hall in Steyr, Austria.
The municipal building features an onion dome tower, six allegorical figures on balustrades, and detailed pilasters across its light gray facade.
Construction of the Rococo-style town hall took place from 1765 to 1778, following plans by Johann Gotthard Hayberger, who served as both architect and mayor.
The council chamber contains marble door frames and decorated stucco ceilings, while the facade displays a fire-breathing panther representing the city coat of arms.
Located at Stadtplatz 27, the building houses administrative offices and a city archive in the right wing of the first floor.
The Austrian Post commemorated this architectural monument in 1965 by issuing an 8-schilling stamp featuring the town hall's distinctive design.
