Versalspitze, Mountain peak in Gaschurn, Austria
Versalspitze is a mountain peak in the Silvretta Alps standing at about 2,460 meters high. The summit has steep slopes dropping to the south and gentler inclines descending northward toward the valleys.
The peak forms the western end of the Valschavielkamm ridge within the Silvretta Alps. It sits in geological connection with neighboring summits and shapes the landscape of this mountain region.
The mountain area provides habitat for rare bird species and alpine plants adapted to high-altitude conditions. Visitors notice this natural diversity while walking along trails between rocky outcrops and meadows.
Hikers can access the peak from Partenen using the Tafamunt cable car to reduce climbing time. Marked trails continue from there to the summit.
An abandoned hut structure called Versailhaus sits along the mountain path and once served as a landmark for climbers. This old building still marks a notable reference point on the route to the summit.
