South Sea Islands Museum, Museum of Pacific artifacts in Cooranbong, Australia
The South Sea Islands Museum displays collections of regional artifacts including carvings, weapons, clothing, and shells from Pacific Island communities.
Founded in 1964, the museum originated from collections gathered by Seventh-day Adventist missionaries who began their work in Australia in 1885.
The museum collection documents Pacific Islander traditions through objects collected during missionary activities across multiple South Pacific regions.
Located at 27 Avondale Road in Cooranbong, the museum operated three days per week from 14:00 to 16:00 before closing in 2017.
A Solomon Islands war canoe arrived at the museum in 1968, becoming one of the principal exhibits of the institution.
