Frazer Beach, Coastal beach in Munmorah State Conservation Area, New South Wales, Australia
Frazer Beach is a 400-meter sandy shore within Munmorah State Conservation Area, bordered by rocky headlands and cut by a creek at its southern end. The beach faces east-southeast and offers basic camping facilities including showers, toilets, and barbecues.
The area was officially protected as a conservation zone to shield this stretch of coastline from development. Over time it has become an important refuge for native wildlife and visitors seeking natural spaces.
Local anglers gather here at sunrise and sunset to fish from both the sandy shore and nearby rocks, keeping alive traditions passed down through generations.
The site has unpowered camping areas with basic facilities like cold showers and flush toilets available to visitors. Gas barbecues are provided for cooking, and there is a vehicle entry fee to access the area.
Two permanent currents flow against the rocky headlands while one or two additional currents in the center create different wave patterns that change throughout the day. This makes the water movement here more complex than at nearby beaches.
