The Entrance Ocean Pools

The Entrance Ocean Pools is a complex built into the rock platform along the shoreline, featuring three separate swimming areas of varying sizes. The largest section accommodates lap swimming, while the smaller sections serve families and younger swimmers looking for calmer water.

A local swimmer cleared the rocky area in 1919 to create an informal bathing spot from the natural features. A formal pool structure was built roughly 20 years later, turning the simple location into organized swimming infrastructure.

These pools serve as a gathering place where swimmers and families come to enjoy the ocean in a sheltered setting away from waves and currents. The location has become a spot where locals and visitors mix during warm months, creating a sense of community around the water.

The pools sit right along the beachfront and are easy to access from the street, with parking available nearby. Water quality is maintained naturally through circulation, though it is worth checking conditions before visiting to ensure optimal swimming.
