Mount Penang Juvenile Justice Centre

Mount Penang is a heritage site with historic buildings and spacious grounds on the New South Wales coast. The location combines remnants of the former facility with modern parklands, walking paths, and diverse recreational areas.

The facility was established in 1912 by New South Wales authorities to house and educate young people. It played an important role in developing new approaches to juvenile care and support over the following decades.
