The Khulna Divisional Museum exhibits archaeological findings, sculptures, and artifacts from South Bengal across multiple display sections within its spacious halls.
Established in 1998 by the Bangladesh Archaeological Department, the museum preserves significant artifacts from the 5th-6th century AD, including remnants from Bharata Bhayana kingdom.
The museum exhibits busts of princely figures, sculptures of Hindu deities, medieval pottery collections, and gold and silver coins from Emperor Jehangir's period.
The museum opens from Monday to Thursday and Saturday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with entry fees of 10 Taka for locals and 100 Taka for foreigners.
This museum ranks as Bangladesh's second largest cultural institution after the National Museum, containing substantial archaeological evidence from the Bagerhat region.
