Fondation Folon

Fondation Folon is an art museum in La Hulpe housing approximately 500 works by Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon. The collection is displayed within a farmstead on the Solvay Castle grounds, surrounded by extensive parkland with mature trees.

The artist established the foundation in 2000 to preserve and share his lifetime of creative work with the public. His works developed over many decades, reflecting the evolution of his personal artistic vision.

The rooms use light and music to bring Jean-Michel Folon's artistic work to life across multiple mediums. Visitors experience a personal journey through watercolors, etchings, posters, and sculptures that reflect his creative range.

The museum is easily accessible from Brussels and offers various routes through exhibition rooms that can be adjusted based on visitor interests. Bring comfortable shoes, as there are many spaces to explore and the parkland invites walking.

Folon personally designed the visitor route through the museum, incorporating interactive elements and special staging. This personal approach makes each visit an exploration of his artistic thinking.
