Le Nouveau Bourgeois de Coxyde, Public fountain statue in Koksijde, Belgium
This bronze fountain statue depicts a small figure in the style of Brussels' Manneken Pis, standing with one hand on its hip while directing water flow.
The first statue was installed in 1923 on the grounds of villa Ma Tocade, owned by a Brussels colonel, marking the beginning of its local significance.
The statue represents the connection between Koksijde and Brussels, serving as a meeting point for villa owners from affluent backgrounds in the area.
Located near Schallerbachplein at coordinates 51.1201758N, 2.6390612E, the statue stands 55 centimeters tall and remains accessible throughout the year.
The Order of Friends of Manneken Pis donated a replacement statue in 2008 after the original disappeared and was temporarily replaced by a Virgin Mary figure.
