De Brielmeersen, Provincial domain and recreation area in Deinze, Belgium
The 40-hectare park contains walking trails, ornamental ponds, swamps, and a yacht harbor between the Leie River and Schipdonk Canal.
Initially established as a city park in 1975, De Brielmeersen transformed into a Provincial Domain in 2015, marking a change in management.
The park maintains an educational forest program and hosts community events throughout the year to promote environmental awareness among visitors.
Visitors can access the park through Lucien Matthyslaan entrance, with Brielparking offering convenient parking spaces near the main entrance.
The accredited zoo section features aviaries with silver herons, spoonbills, owls, along with meadows housing deer, sheep, goats, and horses.
