Museum van Deinze en de Leiestreek

The Museum van Deinze en de Leiestreek displays paintings, sculptures, and graphic works from artists who worked along the River Leie region since 1870.

The museum foundation began in 1941 with the donation of Emile Claus's painting 'Bietenoogst' by his widow in 1942, establishing its regional art focus.

The collection features works from Sint-Martens-Latem artists including George Minne, Albert Servaes, Frits Van den Berghe, and Valerius De Saedeleer.

Located at Lucien Matthyslaan 3-5, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with admission prices ranging from free to 6 euros.

The museum maintains a specific geographical collection limitation to the Leie region, creating a concentrated presentation of local artistic movements.
