La Fleur en Papier Doré - Het Goudblommeke in Papier

La Fleur en Papier Doré is a protected café in the heart of Brussels located in a seventeenth-century building. The rooms across two floors display over 400 artworks, photographs, and historical objects on the walls and throughout the space.

The building dates from the seventeenth century and survived the bombardment of 1695. The café opened in 1944 after World War Two and was later placed under heritage protection.

The café became a gathering place for surrealist artists and avant-garde painters who visited regularly. The walls still reflect this artistic community through the collections displayed throughout the rooms.
