Markiesgebouw, Office building in Cathedral Quarter, Brussels, Belgium.
The Markiesgebouw is a modern office building in the Cathedral Quarter of Brussels with nine floors arranged around a central courtyard. Each floor is divided into independent sections, and the structure includes updated cooling and electrical systems throughout.
The building stands on the site of a late 15th century city palace that once belonged to General Marquis Ambrosio de Spinola. A major renovation in the early 21st century transformed the structure into a modern financial center.
From 1989 to 2007, the building served as a central location for the Flemish administration before becoming the headquarters of Fortis Holding.
The building offers flexible office spaces across multiple levels in the heart of the city center. Visitors will find contemporary facilities that make it easy to navigate and get oriented within the structure.
The building underwent a 50-million-euro renovation in 2009, transforming it into a financial center that now houses Euronext Brussels.
