Pont Biais, Steel bridge in Liège, Belgium
The Pont Biais stretches over the Meuse River with three spans and includes two one-way traffic lanes connecting different neighborhoods of Liège.
Inaugurated in 1976, the bridge was constructed during the transfer of the Derivation quays from the city of Liège to the Belgian state.
The bridge represents the engineering methods of the 1970s and forms part of the extensive network of crossings that define Liège's urban landscape.
The structure provides direct access from the Liège-Maastricht motorway to the Derivation quays, with traffic flowing from downstream to upstream.
The bridge stands adjacent to Quai du Roi Albert and Quai du Barbou, creating a central transport node in the eastern part of Liège.
