Rilets

Rilets is a mountain summit in Kyustendil Province that rises to approximately 2,700 meters. The peak features steep eastern faces and open high plateaus that offer views toward neighboring peaks.

The surrounding lands became part of a protected nature park in 1992 to safeguard the monastery territories. This designation placed the peak and its neighboring summits within a managed conservation area.

The mountain sits within the sphere of Rila Monastery, a place of pilgrimage and prayer for centuries. The peak's surroundings carry the spiritual presence of this important monastic center, which continues to draw visitors seeking its heritage.

The best hiking season runs from June through September, when snow has melted and trails remain dry. Access to the peak is via established paths starting from several locations in the lower valleys.

The peak offers an unusual view of several neighboring summits at nearly identical heights standing very close together. This tight clustering of multiple peaks at the same elevation creates a distinctive mountain formation.
