Eagles' Bridge, Stone arch bridge in central Sofia, Bulgaria
The bridge spans across the Perlovska River with four granite columns supporting bronze eagle statues at each corner of the structure.
Czech architects Václav Prošek and his relatives constructed the bridge in 1891 for 80,000 golden leva during Sofia's post-Ottoman development period.
The bridge's eagle statues represent Bulgarian independence and freedom, making it a national symbol featured on the 20 leva banknote.
The intersection connects major boulevards Evlogi Georgiev and Tsarigradsko Shose, with direct access to Sofia University Metro Station and Orlov Most Station.
