The Sofia University Rectorate is an administrative building featuring a central structure with side wings and baroque architectural elements along with decorative terracotta mosaics. It houses administrative offices, dean departments, and two academic faculties as the central management hub.

Construction occurred in three phases between 1924 and 1985, with the cornerstone ceremony held on June 30, 1924. Brothers Evlogy and Hristo Georgiev donated the land and substantial funds for the university's development in the early 20th century.

The interior contains ceremonial rooms with stained glass windows showing important figures like Saints Cyril and Methodius.

The building preserves private financial records from the Georgiev brothers in its archives, offering insight into the support they provided to the institution in the late 1800s. These documents reveal their family's role as patrons of Bulgarian education during Sofia's early modern period.
