Viden, Mountain summit in Konyavska range, Bulgaria.
Viden is a mountain peak in the Konyavska range that rises to 1487 meters above sea level. The summit has a conical shape formed by layers of limestone and marl from the Triassic period.
The summit was previously known as Bandera until 1942 when it received its current name Viden. A radio relay station was built on the peak in 1969.
The mountain holds significance for local Bulgarian communities who maintain traditional practices of exploring nature through established hiking paths.
Access to the summit is via a 6.6-kilometer road branching off from the Radomir-Kyustendil route. The beginning of this path demands careful attention and steady navigation.
The peak is home to a television transmission tower that serves as a major technical landmark of the region. From this vantage point, views across the Kyustendil Basin stretch out in all directions.
