Septemvri Stadium

Construction of the stadium began in 1956 with the official opening in 1958 marked by a match between two prominent Sofia football clubs. The venue went on to serve the local professional game as a significant playing ground over the following decades.

In 2011, football legend Hristo Stoichkov proposed an ambitious renovation project that never came to fruition. The plan would have transformed the site significantly but was eventually shelved due to practical and financial constraints.
