Mosque in Navahrudak

The Mosque in Navahrudak is a rectangular white-walled building with traditional Islamic design, featuring a prominent minaret that rises above the roof. The interior is arranged for prayer with a layout oriented toward Mecca.

The building was constructed in 1855 to serve the growing Muslim community in the region. A major restoration took place in 1993 when Imam Ali Szegidewicz led efforts to return the structure to its original form.

The mosque represents the enduring presence of Lipka Tatars in Belarus, showing how they maintained Islamic traditions while becoming part of local society. Today it functions as an active prayer space used by the Muslim community.
