Minsk Zoo

Minsk Zoo is a wildlife park located near the Svislach River featuring animals from different parts of the world in specialized enclosures. The grounds spread across a large area with natural habitats that give visitors a broad look at animal life.

This zoo was started in 1984 by workers from an automobile factory who began with rescued animals. Early residents included injured birds and other creatures that needed a safe place to live.

The zoo runs educational programs for schools that teach about wildlife conservation and animal behavior through hands-on learning. Visitors can experience firsthand why protecting wild animals matters for our world.

The park is located near Pobediteley Avenue and offers guided tours and animal feeding experiences for visitors. Information stations throughout the grounds help you find your way and understand the different areas.

The park has a dedicated South American section with a tropical pavilion and open enclosures for species from that region. This area displays animals and plants that live in South American forests and landscapes.
