Canadian National Railway started construction in February 1973, employing 1,500 workers to complete the structure before its public opening in June 1976.
The American Society of Civil Engineers selected the CN Tower as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 1995.
The tower receives 1.5 million visitors annually and operates daily from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM with wheelchair accessibility throughout the facilities.
The EdgeWalk allows visitors to walk on the exterior platform at 356 meters high, making it North America's highest outdoor walking surface.
