The Colisée Financière Sun Life is a multipurpose indoor arena in Rimouski with a total capacity of 4,851 seats, including 4,030 spots for ice hockey and 14 private boxes. The facility also features a 250-meter (820-foot) indoor running track along with three meeting rooms and a multipurpose hall.
Built in 1966 under Mayor Maurice Tessier's municipal improvements, the Colisée cost about $750,000. In 2008 it was enlarged by 20% to 8,085 square metres for the 2009 Memorial Cup, with $6.6 million shared equally by the Canadian and Quebec governments and the city; two floors, 14 corporate boxes and a new scoreboard followed.
The arena serves as home to the Rimouski Océanic ice hockey team, which plays regularly before local crowds throughout the season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
