Consilium Place, Office complex in Scarborough City Centre, Canada
Consilium Place is an office complex in Scarborough composed of three glass towers standing 17 to 18 stories tall. The buildings occupy a prominent intersection in eastern Toronto and function as an integrated corporate hub.
Construction of the complex began in 1984 with the first tower, with additional buildings completed in 1985 and 1989. The phased development transformed the intersection into a major corporate address over this five-year period.
The buildings, designed by Bregman + Hamann Architects, represent the architectural evolution of Toronto's business district during the 1980s expansion period.
The buildings are readily accessible during business hours and feature prominent entrance areas connected throughout the complex. The site functions primarily as a corporate office location, so interior spaces are most accessible and active on weekdays.
Between 2008 and 2009, the glass towers recorded hundreds of bird collisions, prompting changes to building management practices. These incidents led to measures aimed at reducing collision risks on the reflective facades.
