Hogg's Hollow Bridge

Hogg's Hollow Bridge comprises four separate structures that span the West Branch of the Don River Valley while supporting 14 lanes of Highway 401 traffic. The structures connect Wilson Avenue with York Mills Road across a deep ravine.

The bridge opened on January 5, 1929, establishing a vital link across the deep ravine. This connection improved traffic flow and enabled better access between different parts of Toronto.

The area takes its name from James Hogg, a Scottish settler who established a whisky distillery and grist mill in 1824. These operations shaped the region and reflect how early industry influenced local development.
