St. Anne Anglican Church, Byzantine Revival church in Brockton Village, Toronto, Canada.
St. Anne Anglican Church features an octagonal central dome rising 21 meters high, complemented by two domed bell towers and arched transepts.
The church structure, completed in 1908, emerged from a design competition won by architect William Ford Howland who incorporated Byzantine architectural elements.
In 1923, ten Canadian artists, including members of the Group of Seven, created an extensive collection of murals that decorate the church interior.
The church building, located at 270 Gladstone Avenue, maintains regular services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural and artistic elements.
A devastating fire in June 2024 caused the central dome to collapse, leading to immediate plans for reconstruction of this national historic site.
