Gladstone Hotel, Historical boutique hotel in West Queen West, Toronto, Canada
The Gladstone Hotel features five floors with 55 rooms, displaying Romanesque architecture with rough-cut stone, brick walls, and dramatic window arches.
Built in 1889 by George Martell Miller, the Gladstone Hotel was initially owned by Susanna Robinson, who managed it while raising 13 children after her husband's death.
The hotel maintains an artist-in-residence program where selected artists receive two months of studio access to create works displayed throughout the building.
The Gladstone House Bistro serves breakfast items including pancakes and poached eggs, while the bar offers signature cocktails reflecting local influences.
The building preserves a manually operated Otis elevator from 1907, maintaining its original mechanical components and historical characteristics.
