The museum opened in 2003 inside what was once Goudies Department Store, which had sat empty for about 15 years before this conversion. This renovation brought new purpose to a historic downtown building.
The Underground Studio MakerSpace blends artistic creation with technology projects, inviting visitors to develop and test their own ideas hands-on. People of all ages work together to build and experiment in this shared creative space.
The museum is open from Wednesday through Sunday, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 9 PM. Access is fully wheelchair accessible throughout the building.
