Ripley's Aquarium of Canada stands on Bremner Boulevard just southeast of the CN Tower, its shell clad in large aluminum panels with a faceted, angular facade. The entrance roof is shaped to suggest the earth's crust peeling away to reveal a window into the aquatic world. Inside, ten galleries hold 5.7 million litres of water and more than 20,000 animals from over 450 species.

The facility opened in 2013 and expanded Toronto's entertainment and educational attractions in the downtown core. Its construction contributed to transforming the area around the CN Tower into a modern tourism hub.

The facility displays marine life from Canadian waters, including species from the Great Lakes and Atlantic regions that visitors can observe in dedicated sections. These exhibits help people discover local underwater ecosystems without traveling far.

Visiting on weekdays or early mornings offers a more comfortable experience with fewer crowds. The location is easily accessible by public transit and features wheelchair access to most exhibit areas.

The Dangerous Lagoon is a 97-metre glass tunnel with a moving conveyor belt, the aquarium's largest tank at 2.5 million litres. It holds sand tiger sharks, sandbar sharks, roughtail stingrays, longcomb sawfish and green sea turtles. The building's electrical systems were shielded so the sharks would not be disturbed.
