Cape Enrage Lighthouse, Maritime signal station at Albert County, Canada
The Cape Enrage Lighthouse sits on a 46-meter cliff, directing vessels through the challenging waters of the Bay of Fundy with its 9.2-meter tower.
The first square lighthouse in New Brunswick was built at this location in 1838, replacing an earlier structure moved from Partridge Island.
Local students from Moncton transformed the abandoned lighthouse into an interpretation center in 1993, preserving maritime heritage for future generations.
Visitors can access the site from May through October, with guided tours explaining the navigation systems and maritime safety procedures.
The lighthouse received its name from the violent currents created by an underwater reef that affects water patterns during high tides.
