Brugg, Protected heritage town in Aargau, Switzerland

Located at the meeting of three rivers - Aare, Reuss, and Limmat - Brugg features medieval architecture and stone bridges spanning the waterways.

The Romans established a military camp called Vindonissa in this area, while the Habsburgs later developed the settlement into a key river crossing point.

The Vindonissa Museum displays archaeological findings from Roman times, including artifacts, graves, and military equipment discovered in the surrounding region.

The central railway station connects travelers to major Swiss cities, with regular trains to Zurich taking 30 minutes and Basel reached within an hour.

The Black Tower, dating from medieval times, stands as a testament to the town's defensive past and marks the entrance to the old town district.
