Kybunpark, football stadium
Kybunpark is a football stadium in St. Gallen that opened in 2008 and is primarily used by FC St. Gallen. The modern facility features a large roof structure covering most of the seating and can hold around 20,000 spectators.
The stadium replaced the older Espenmoos venue in 2008 and was initially known as AFG Arena before being renamed in 2016 to a locally recognised name. Its first match took place on May 30, 2008, a friendly between Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The stadium fills with passionate supporters on match days who wear team colours and sing club songs, creating an energetic environment. This place reflects the city's deep connection to football and becomes an expression of local pride and community spirit.
The stadium offers clear views of the pitch from all seating areas and is easily accessible for visitors from the surrounding region. The area has parking facilities and food vendors, especially active on match days.
The roof features a large solar energy system that generates electricity from sunlight and partially covers the stadium's energy needs. An initial system was installed in 2015, with additional solar panels added in 2025.
