Cemetery Sihlfeld, Public cemetery in Zürich, Switzerland.

Cemetery Sihlfeld extends across a large area with wide gravel paths, abundant trees, and numerous historical monuments throughout its carefully maintained grounds.

Architect Arnold Geiser designed this burial ground in 1877, creating what would become the largest cemetery and continuous green space in Zürich.

The cemetery contains the graves of notable figures including Johanna Spyri, author of Heidi, and Henri Dunant, founder of the International Red Cross.

Visitors can access the cemetery between 8:00 and 17:00 during winter months, with extended hours until 20:00 during summer season.

The cemetery features two former crematoriums that have been transformed into spaces for funeral services, among the first such facilities in Switzerland.
