Dent de Broc, Mountain summit in Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland

The Dent de Broc is a summit of the Swiss Prealps reaching 1,829 m, overlooking Broc and the Lake of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg. It lies on the range north of the Vanil Noir, between the valleys of the Sarine and the Motélon. Some 500 m south stands the Dent du Chamois (1,838 m), separated from it by the col de la Combe.

The sources document no historical events for the Dent de Broc itself; it appears as a named summit of the Fribourg Prealps at 1,829 m, on the range north of the Vanil Noir between the Sarine and Motélon valleys. Its neighbour 500 m south, the Dent du Chamois (1,838 m), is separated from it by the Col de la Combe, also called Col des Combes (1,668 m), where the summit trail starts.

The summit's name comes from Broc, the village below it in the canton of Fribourg; the mountain overlooks both Broc and the Lake of Gruyère. It stands on the range north of the Vanil Noir, between the Sarine and Motélon valleys, and the neighbouring Dent du Chamois (1,838 m) is separated from it by the Col de la Combe.

The route starts at Col des Combes (1,668 m), reached from the Motélon valley side, and a trail continues from the pass to the summit. The summit stands at 1,829 m, about 160 m above the col. The Dent du Chamois (1,838 m) lies 500 m to the south, separated from the Dent de Broc by the Col de la Combe.
