Established in 1989 as Festungsmuseum Reuenthal, the institution expanded in 2004 to become Schweizerisches Militärmuseum Full under the management of a dedicated association.
The museum preserves the complete collection from Oerlikon-Bührle AG and Contraves AG, presenting Switzerland's industrial and defense manufacturing heritage through technical exhibits.
Visitors can explore multiple floors of exhibitions, access a specialized museum shop with military literature and models, and dine at Bistro Militaire restaurant.
The facility houses the largest publicly accessible collection of tanks and artillery in Switzerland, including rare items like the German V1 flying bomb from 1944.
