Aussichtsturm Irchel, Steel observation tower in Buch am Irchel, Switzerland

The Irchel observation tower is a steel structure in Buch am Irchel that stands 63 meters tall and offers views across multiple directions. The viewing platform allows visitors to see far into the surrounding region and beyond.

The original tower was built in 1930 by Jakob Zimiker. The current steel structure took its place in 1983, representing a significant modernization of the site.

The observation platform features informative panels that help visitors identify geographical landmarks and natural features visible across the surrounding landscape. These guides make it easy to understand what you are looking at from above.

Visitors need to climb around 150 steps across several intermediate platforms to reach the observation deck. Wearing appropriate footwear and having reasonable fitness helps make the climb more comfortable.

Near the tower sits a designated fire pit area with multiple benches that serves as a gathering spot for visitors. This space offers a place to relax and connect with others while overlooking the area below.
