Festung Mueterschwanderberg

Festung Mueterschwanderberg is a military fortification built into a mountain, consisting of three interconnected sections with underground passages throughout. The installation housed artillery emplacements, barracks, kitchen facilities, and a network of tunnels designed to allow personnel movement within the fortified structure.

The fortress was constructed between 1941 and 1944 as Switzerland reinforced its defensive capabilities during World War II. It formed part of a broader network of fortifications built to protect the nation during this period of uncertainty.
