Farel house

Farel house is a three-story community center in New City South with large windows and distinct rooms for different uses. The spaces include a library, meeting rooms, and areas designed for cultural events and gatherings.

The building was designed by Max Schlup in 1959, created from the conversion of a former parish hall. This transformation established it as a key meeting place for the local community.

The building functions as a gathering space where people from the neighborhood come together regularly for shared activities. The spaces reflect the varied interests of its visitors and create opportunities for connection across different backgrounds.

The center is open from Monday through Saturday with access to library collections and multiple meeting rooms. Check in advance if specific areas are reserved for scheduled activities.

Every Thursday, visitors volunteer for daily operations such as library care and event management. This participation shows how the neighborhood actively maintains and shapes the space.
