Sai Kung West Country Park

The park stretches across 4,494 hectares, featuring coastal cliffs, mangroves, and diverse ecosystems with multiple hiking trails through mountainous landscapes.

Established in 1978, this national park emerged during Hong Kong's initiative to protect natural resources, transforming former fishing communities into protected areas.

The Pak Sha O Hakka village within the park maintains traditional architectural elements, including decorative doorways and relief murals from original settlements.

Visitors access the park through Pak Tam Chung entrance, where a visitor center provides maps, ecological information, and guidance for various trail options.

The park contains the Four Pools formation, where mountain streams create natural plunge pools along the coastline near Ham Tin Wan beach.
