Jieyang Museum, Municipal museum in Rongcheng District, Jieyang, China.

The Jieyang Museum occupies a new building on Development Avenue in the Cultural Square of Rongcheng District, opened on 1 October 2022. It has one basement level and four above-ground floors, with four permanent exhibition halls, two temporary halls and a lecture theatre. The collection numbers 11,224 objects and sets, including stone tools, pottery, porcelain, bronzes, wood carvings, calligraphy and rare books.

The Jieyang County Museum was founded on 26 June 1958 under the Shantou County Cultural Bureau and housed in the Jieyang Academy, a Song-dynasty Confucian complex where Zhou Enlai had worked in 1925. In 1992 the county became a prefecture-level city and the museum was upgraded to Jieyang City Museum. It moved to the Jieyang Tower in 2010 and opened its new building on Cultural Square on 1 October 2022.

The museum's four permanent halls cover Jieyang's general history, its revolutionary history, notable local figures and folk customs. The folk customs hall is where local traditions are presented, alongside the history displays. The collection of over 11,000 objects includes wood carvings, ceramics, bronzes, paintings and old books.

The museum occupies the new building in Jieyang Cultural Square, on Fazhan Avenue in Yuhu Subdistrict, Rongcheng District. It has one basement level and four floors above ground, with four permanent exhibition halls, two temporary halls and a multi-purpose lecture hall. The building follows the Chinese-style architecture of the rest of the square.

The museum holds archaeological discoveries from the Chaoshan region, including ancient ceramics and traditional crafts specific to this area. These objects reveal handcraft skills that have been passed down through generations in the region.
