Horský hotel a rozhledna na Klínovci

Horský hotel na Klínovci is a mountain hotel with an integrated observation tower located at the summit of Klínovec, the highest peak of the Ore Mountains at 1244 meters. The stone structure was designed as a complex offering both accommodation and views, with the tower serving as the dominant architectural feature.

The first structure on the mountain summit was a wooden pyramid built in 1817, later replaced by a gloriette in 1838 before the current stone tower was constructed. Each stage of development reflected the region's growing interest in mountain tourism.

The building was recognized as a cultural monument in 1992, reflecting the architectural traditions that shaped mountain tourism in this region. For generations, it served as both shelter and vantage point for travelers exploring the Ore Mountains.

The site is currently closed but can be viewed from outside while restoration efforts are coordinated by the municipality of Boží Dar. Visitors should wear sturdy shoes as the summit is exposed and weather conditions change rapidly at this elevation.

The views stretch across the entire Ore Mountains and on clear days visitors can see across regional borders. This makes the location a popular destination for photographers and nature observers regardless of the building's current condition.
