Castle Lemberg, Medieval castle ruins in Lemberg, Germany.

The fortress stands on Schlossberg hill at 458 meters elevation, with remaining low walls and foundations marking its original structure point.

Built around 1200 by Count Henry I of Zweibrücken, the castle experienced multiple destructions during the Thirty Years War between 1634 and 1636.

The castle foundations include a thirteenth-century chapel site, representing the religious practices of medieval German nobility in the Rhineland-Palatinate region.

The site now functions as a castle information center for the Palatinate and North Vosges regions, with a café operated by the Palatine Forest Club.

An ancient shaft cistern remains at the castle, initially planned as a well but modified when builders could not reach the groundwater.
