Aspach, Municipality in Rems-Murr district, Germany
This grouping brings together four villages in Baden-Württemberg: Großaspach, Kleinaspach, Allmersbach, and Rietenau. The territory covers gentle hills and valleys between Stuttgart and Heilbronn in the Rems-Murr district.
The four villages merged into one municipality in February 1972. Before that, each community had its own administration for centuries and developed independently in rural Württemberg.
The St. Juliana Protestant church in Großaspach features a Romanesque tower base, representing the religious heritage of the municipality.
The villages sit roughly 20 miles (30 kilometers) northeast of Stuttgart and are accessible by car or regional transport. Visitors find village centers with churches, town halls, and inns typical of small Swabian communities.
Kleinaspach houses a wine press from 1522 that remained in operation for over five centuries. Großaspach preserves a Romanesque church base beneath the tower of St. Juliana Protestant church.
