Zeche Sterkrade, Coal mine and architectural heritage monument in Oberhausen, Germany.
The Sterkrade mine features a three-story brick building with round-arched blind arcades and high rectangular twin windows from 1903.
The mining facility began operations in 1897 as a ventilation shaft for the Osterfeld coal mine before transitioning to coal production in 1903.
The preserved headframe stands as an example of industrial engineering, representing the mining traditions of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Visitors can participate in guided tours of the mining complex on the first and third Sunday of each month at 2:00 PM.
The three-legged Promnitz construction headframe received a restoration between 2012 and 2015, returning it to its original red color.
