Zeilsheim

Zeilsheim extends over 5.4 square kilometers along the Taunus mountains, bordered by Höchst, Unterliederbach, and Sindlingen districts of Frankfurt.

First documented in 794 as Ciolfesheim, the area gained prominence in 1463 when a peace treaty ending the Mainz Cathedral Feud was signed under a local tree.

The neighborhood houses 50 local associations that organize regular events, including the annual Frog Fountain Festival celebrating the district's former fire pond.

The S2 line of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn and three bus routes connect Zeilsheim to central Frankfurt, with the train station operating since 2007.

The Fairy Tale Settlement features houses decorated with Brothers Grimm stories on their facades, creating a distinct residential architecture in the district.
