ZAG-Arena, Indoor event venue in Döhren-Wülfel district, Hannover, Germany
ZAG-Arena is a multipurpose hall in the Döhren-Wülfel district at the southern edge of Hannover, used for sports events and concerts. The building has an oval floor plan with a large hall roof, beneath which spectator seating is distributed across multiple levels and offers varying numbers of places depending on the type of event.
Construction began in the late nineties on the Expo grounds and was completed in April 2000 in time for the world fair. Since then, several companies have changed as naming sponsors, while the hall has maintained its role as the city's largest event venue.
The hall takes its current name from a German insurance group, following a long tradition of changing sponsors at this location. During handball games, fans of the home team fill the stands and create a loud atmosphere, while concert visitors use seats distributed across multiple levels.
Several entrances lead from the forecourt into the hall, where signs direct visitors to the different sectors. Catering and restrooms are located on the walkways, allowing visitors to move between the stands and service facilities.
The hall is located on the former Expo grounds and was one of the first completed structures of the world fair in 2000. Its roof can be partially opened to allow fresh air into the interior during certain occasions.

Hanover offers a wide range of sights that reflect the history, culture, and architecture of the capital of Lower Saxony. The city is home to several important museums, including the State Museum with collections on art and natural history, and the Sprengel Museum for modern art. Historic buildings such as the New Town Hall with its large dome and the medieval Market Church shape the cityscape. The Herrenhausen Gardens rank among the most important Baroque garden complexes in Europe and extend over a large area in the northern part of the city. The Maschsee, an artificial lake created in the 1930s, serves as a recreational area. Other attractions include the reconstructed Leibniz House, the Aegidien Church as a war memorial, and the historic Red Thread that guides visitors to the main points of the Old Town.
