Venezuelan Pavilion Expo 2000, Exhibition pavilion in Hanover, Germany.
The Venezuelan Pavilion features a three-story cylindrical structure with a diameter of 39 meters and a height of 18 meters, incorporating glass and steel materials.
During Expo 2000, from June to October, this pavilion represented Venezuela at the international fair centered on the theme of Man, Nature, and Technology.
The building design by José Vivas incorporates elements of Venezuelan identity through its flower-shaped structure, resembling the national orchid of Venezuela.
The structure contains two complete floors and four additional platforms connected by a central elevator system for efficient circulation between exhibition spaces.
Sixteen movable roof petals made from polyester fiber membrane adjust automatically to weather conditions, regulating natural light and interior temperature.
