St Luger's Church

St. Ludgerus is a church building in Gothic Revival style, distinguished by two towers and a rectangular floor plan. The interior contains several chapels and features ornate windows depicting religious scenes.

The church was erected between 1892 and 1898, built upon the foundations of an earlier Romanesque structure. Religious activity at this site dates back to the 9th century, when bishops performed their duties here.

The church is named after Saint Ludger, an early bishop who shaped this region and left a lasting mark on local faith. His memory flows through the space, connecting today's community to these religious roots.

The building is made of Baumberger sandstone, a local material from quarries in the nearby area. Kestrels, small birds of prey, make their nests in the towers and have claimed this place as their home.
