JadeWeserPort

The JadeWeserPort is a container terminal on the North Sea coast in Wilhelmshaven and Germany's only port where large ships can dock without worrying about tides. The facility was built specifically so that the biggest modern container ships can reach it, load, and unload with ease.

Planning for this port began in 2003 to expand Germany's port capacity. The official opening took place in 2012 and made it a key hub for European container traffic.

The info center shows how modern container ships work and what technologies keep this port running smoothly. Visitors can understand how this place connects to the wider world.

The info center offers tours and interactive displays about port operations. Visitors will find parking available and can check whether tours are currently possible before arriving.

The info center has a ship simulator where visitors can virtually steer a large container ship. Through this interactive experience, visitors get a feel for how complex it is to navigate such massive vessels.
