RheinMain University of Applied Sciences is a public institution with campuses in Wiesbaden, Rüsselsheim am Main, and Darmstadt, where approximately 12,000 students can choose from more than 70 study programs. The offerings include architecture, design and media, engineering, social sciences, and business in various formats such as full-time, part-time, or online study.
The university was founded in 1971 and has expanded significantly since then. Over the years it was renamed, a campus in Geisenheim became an independent university in 2013, and since 2017 it has been able to award doctoral degrees.
